Observations of Life in New Zealand (and sometimes beyond) through art, architecture, photography, travel, tourism, design, food, the quirky, the bizarre, the comedic - a few of the things I am passionate about. This is my world - a world of contemplations, observations and small adventures.

City Scene - 20
Lambton Quay, Wellington
A typical meshing of horizontal and vertical lines in Wellington's tightly packed central business district - a place where highrise closes out most of the skyline.
I know exactly what you mean. I'm not looking forward to visiting Wellington any time soon. It's bad enough being in Christchurch, always looking over my shoulder to see where I can be safe should another after-shock strike. Adrienne
I had a day up there recently - total nightmare of surrounding high rises. Worst bit was there is nowhere to go when in the street area. Managed to change meeting venue to a single storey building - but as it was on The Terrace, we were still not happy lol... and the three of us all had torches and basics in our briefcases.
I look forward to the day when I can relax and no longer worry about whether or not I have my torch, my car keys and my cellphone all within a 5-second-grasp!

Nice pic.. Just makes me think Forsyth Barr and collapsed staircases . Earthquakes have altered my perception. Sigh.
