Little Akaloa Baches, Banks Peninsular, 2008. AjrIt was a brilliantly sunny day when I breezed down the hill and into the tight horseshoe shape of Little Akaloa Bay on Thursday. I was on my way home from Okains Bay and took the scenic route. It's a road that curves around winding roads and hilltops and then drops down into remote, jewel-like hideaways where holiday baches (houses) cling to the shoreline.
