Holiday in Hanmer

The Heritage Hanmer Springs is located in a grand old madam of a building right in the centre of this pretty little alpine hamlet 90 minutes north west of Christchurch; and the great thing about the Heritage hotel chain is that they offer a constant stream of great deals throughout their New Zealand-wide hotels. It's fair to say of course, that you're spoiled for choice when it comes to Hanmer Springs accommodation. The town has flourished in recent years and new (and better) motels and B&Bs are opening all the time. I like competition though. It keeps everyone on their toes - and that's important in a small town, especially one where the resident population is constantly swollen by incoming visitors. www.heritagehotels.co.nz
