I'm back home in Christchurch now but I keep referring back to these fabulous warehouse buildings at Napier's port suburb of Ahuriri. I spent many hours wandering around the network of narrow streets there, taking in the utilitarian austerity of their corrugated iron architecture. The old bond stores, wool stores and shipping company storage sheds with their triangular peaked roof lines had a strange appeal that kept me going back for more.
