Hillside City

Dunedin is a little like Wellington - well....in as much as it's built around the hillsides overlooking a harbour and has notoriously contrary weather! That's about there the similarities end really. But I love both cities for that very reason - their hilly geography makes for a much more visually interesting city than say....Christchurch, which apart from the backdrop of the Port Hills is flat, flat, FLAT. (If you ride a bike a lot that's a good thing of course). I snapped these two suburban hillside shots as I flashed through Dunedin recently. www.dunedinnz.com
