Working within the fascinating confines of her inner city studio, The Filing Kabinett, she enjoys the interplay of different values and scales - a diamond set in a pebble for instance. She has also mastered the art of combining unexpected materials and of giving an old idea a fresh contemporary take. These two pearl necklaces for instance, completely blow apart my theory that the traditional string of pearls is old-fashioned and passé.
