Architectural Angles

Christchurch Women's Hospital. Oct. 2008. Ajr.
It's Architecture Week so why not show off a few buildings I thought to myself this morning. This is a view I snapped a couple of days ago when I was trying to find my way through the rabbits' warren that is Christchurch Hospital. Having taken the wrong door (again) I unexpectedly popped out onto the street outside the (relatively) new Christchurch Women's Hospital to which the former is linked. I very much like this interesting intersection of angles and shapes. The building was designed by the Auckland architectural practice, Chow Hill - their first project in the South Island - and was completed in 2005. www.chowhill.co.nz
