Two of my favourite Wellington city views - taken from high up in the James Cook Hotel. This view looks down on Lambton Quay. It's one of my favourite places to stay - not because the hotel is especially swanky but rather because it is perfectly placed right in the heart of the city - running between The Terrace and Lambton Quay. Take the lift downstairs and you're right in the middle of the central business district and all the best shopping. www.ghihotels.com
