It’s been an arts oriented week and I’m going to finish on a high note – Colin McCahon, one of New Zealand’s most significant artists. A touring exhibition of his works from the National Gallery of Australia’s collection is now showing at Christchurch Art Gallery. The exhibition includes the now-famous work “Victory over death 2,” 1970, which was given to the people of Australia by the New Zealand Government in 1978. I loved the simplicity of these exhibition graphics against the stark gallery wall outside the actual exhibition. www.christchurchartgallery.org.nzObservations of Life in New Zealand (and sometimes beyond) through art, architecture, photography, travel, tourism, design, food, the quirky, the bizarre, the comedic - a few of the things I am passionate about. This is my world - a world of contemplations, observations and small adventures.
