Last Sunday, when I was prowling around Kyneton, all the churches were full. I came upon this stone monster on a pine-clad hill. There was something very Gothic about the solid stone, the crows cawing in the pines and the quiet lilt of hymns in the background. It's the St Paul's Anglican Church. The foundation stone was laid by the Bishop of Melbourne in 1855. The top image is their splendid stained glass window in the entry vestibule. www.kynetonanglican.com.au
